Latest news from STAGEFIGHT… 15th June 2025 Midland Screen Acting School Workshop Wow! What an amazing day working with the students of MSAS - the Midlands Screen Acting School founded by Academy award winning actress Rachel Shenton. Our workshops introduced the concepts of screen combat. Thanks to MSAS staff for getting STAGEFIGHT involved and extra special thanks to MSAS students for all your hard work. Midlands Screen Acting School 19th January 2025 Filming at Tolethorpe Hall Great day filming at Tolethorpe Hall for ‘The Market’ a film written and directed by Thomas Dorman. Comedy, intrigue, revenge and most importantly swordfights!! 19th July 2025 Filming: Tunnel Fight Scene Great Day filming with Jason Rivers, Zoe Hadjifotiou and Tamsin Hunt on a short pre-viz fight scene. Thanks to Paige Jones for all your help on the day. 16th February 2025 Combat Refresher Our first Combat Refresher for 2025 and we had LIGHTSABRES! - Combat Refreshers are a great way to keep your fight skills up to date. Learn new techniques, meet fighters from other courses and levels, and get the chance to film some of your fights. 22-23rd February 2025 Screen Combat Stage-1 First Screen Combat Stage-1 for 2025. A weekend of unarmed combat, dagger fighting and swordplay. Thanks everyone for your hard work, looking forward to seeing you all on the next stage. 16th March 2025 Masterclass: Axe First Masterclass for 2025. This masterclass focused on axe combat for historical and fantasy films and TV shows. Well done everyone, thanks for all your hard work. 22-23rd March 2025 Screen Combat Stage-1 A weekend of unarmed combat, dagger fighting and swordplay. Well done everyone, thanks for all your hard work. Looking forward to seeing you all again on the next stage. 5th April 2025 Filming: Fight Day Had the opportunity to test some new equipment while filming a few fight scene show reels. Thanks to everyone who could make today’s Fight Day! 13th April 2025 Masterclass: Spear Second Masterclass for 2025. This masterclass focused on spear combat and used a mix of historical and Hollywood fight techniques. Huge thanks to everyone. 26-27th April 2025 Screen Combat Stage-2 Stage-2 of our training programme. A weekend of sabre, sword and shield and longsword. Well done everyone, thanks for all your hard work. Looking forward to seeing you all on the next stage. 2nd May 2025 Filming: The Come Down Great working with Tamsin Hunt to bring her short film ‘The Come Down’ to life. 11th May 2025 Combat Refresher A day of unarmed combat and dagger fighting. Thanks to everyone who made the day! 17-18th May 2025 Screen Combat Stage-3 Screen Combat Stage-3 Completed! A very intensive weekend of rapier, rapier and dagger, dual-wielding and smallsword. Thanks everyone for all your hard work over both days. 21 HAPPY BIRTHDAY STAGEFIGHT 4th May 2025 Happy Birthday STAGEFIGHT Twenty-One Today! Happy Birthday STAGEFIGHT.
